Lovely well made jacket

I gave much consideration to the size on the model, size chart and my measurements eventually deciding on size L in Natural, even though I am a size M by measurement. I’m glad I did because the jacket fits lovely with the shoulder seam sitting perfectly at the tip of my shoulder. There is enough room to wear a shirt underneath and move about comfortably. I did find like another reviewer that sleeves were a cuff width too long, however I just roll up the cuff. I love the colour of this jacket, it gives a smart casual look. A bonus is the two internal pockets. I feel this jacket will become a firm favourite. So glad I found this jacket.

Easy to wear and comfortable and stylish

Disappointed

Very disappointed that the fine print states this jacket is based on another style which is why I bought it in the first place. The original style was a better fit better quality and had shorter sleeves. I have emailed humidity about my concerns I have had a response and I’m awaiting next steps. I do hope the company ensures there is a more obvious statement as this jacket looks exactly the same… Bella versus Isabella!

Thanks for your feedback and we are sorry you are disappointed. This jacket is crazy popular, hence we were asked to produce a 100% linen version and time for an update after 4 years, we are sorry it was not to your liking.

We changed the name so that it was not misleading and included in the product description 'Bella' is based on our best-selling style 'Isabella' although now crafted in 100% Linen, rather than a blend - please check your measurements carefully as they have slightly changed and different compositions will slightly change fit'. We do not have fine print and never try to mislead in any way - we work really hard at the website product descriptions because we understand online shopping can be tricky so include as much information as possible. The change of name should alert customers in case they had bought previously. This jacket had the same name for the previous 4 years. Both versions are still on the website and there for comparison. The new style is 100% linen versus the previous linen/viscose blend- so a higher quality in terms of fabrics, but completely understand if not your personal preference. The change in fabrication can change the fit slightly, this is why we always provide the measurements on our website. We hand measure and check them every season in case they are slightly different. This is the very first complaint we have had on this new jacket - they are selling fast, and we will be re-ordering as some prefer the 100% linen. The linen is the same 100% linen we have been using on our other garments for the last 5 years, it is less dense than the previous Isabella fabric, due to the lack of viscose which is the thicker yarn in that particular blend. There can be slight variations in sleeve length due to pressing and washing - let us know if it's anything dramatic.
Please keep in mind that you have worn your other jacket in and probably washed it a few times. The new version has not been worn in, this makes a huge difference to how it will feel if you compare them, as both fabrics give with wear and different washing techniques will cause variations.
