Flattering and cute

I bought this dress (colour: midnight) in a local store after trying on a few different dresses. I really liked the shape, very flattering on a curvy figure. Fabric feels nice and cool on a hot day. I also like the longer length. I’m 5 ft 5 and it is just above ankle length. I received random compliments about this dress and the fabric when I wore it to a local cafe.

Sleeves stick out, fabric disappointing.

I bought this online, but I don't like this dress on me, and I am returning it. The short sleeves stick out, and the fabric is disappointing, not soft, and is crushed on arrival. I think the shirring will be warm in summer. The fit is not an issue.
